Flames season 3 storyline :

Baahon Mein Chale Aao :

The story is about college friends which relate us to reality. Student love story element as well as a daughter’s love for her father is beautifully portrayed in this season. A group of friends named Ishita, Anusha, Gaurav(Pandu), and Rajat are studying at Sunshine institute run by Kaushal Sir. Rajat and Ishita who were quite close in previous seasons are no longer close now which Rajat tries to fix but Ishita wants to keep it only as a friendship due to the 12th Boards and the fear that Rajat will leave her again.

Rikvik blushes

Chupaana Bhi Nahi Aata, Jatana Bhi Nahi Aata :

This season also has an entry of Ishita’s old friend Badri whom Rajat does not like initially because of his closeness to Ishita but eventually understands their Friendship. A recurring scene of Pandu taking aside an old scooter to park his bike looks funny initially but later feels very repetitive. Sunshine classes being taught on the terrace of a building faces the rains which depress Kaushal Sir but his wife’s idea comes to the rescue and she builts a cover on the terrace.

Pandu and Anusha

Rajat is still unhappy since Ishita is not talking to him and tries to impress her by reaching her house at night. Rajat is seen by a person in the colony and this news reaches Ishita’s dad. Ishita gets upset that Rajat’s act has hurt her dad and completely starts ignoring Rajat. He says sorry to Ishita but she does not even want to be his friend. Ishita’s dad tries to scare Rajat but somehow he resumes the friendship between Ishita and Rajat by asking them to shake hands.

Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaaye :

In the next episode, Rajat’s brother comes to visit them. He meets with an accident and Rajat feels everything is happening because of him. Rajat is very sad and this time Ishita tries to calm Rajat and meets Rajat’s brother as well in the hospital. While all three are having a good conversation Badri also visits the hospital and while leaving Rajat and Ishita see Badri in the hospital, who invites Rajat to his Birthday party and takes Ishita to drop her near her house.

On the other hand, a few boys are teasing Anusha, she slaps one of the boys and also calls her brother who gets brutally beaten by the boys. She eventually calls Pandu, who beats those boys and teaches them a lesson.

Khoya Khoya Chaand :

Rajat’s brother confesses that he purposely met with an accident but got hurt more than he expected. He reveals that he wanted to teach his dad a lesson who tries to force his children on what to do. Rajat’s dad was listening in the background and understands his mistake. All family returns home and Rajat’s dad asks him to study whatever he wants. Ishita and Rajat go together to buy a gift for Badri but have a fight and get separated again.

Ishita gets angry

Rajat looks sad and his brother asks the reason for his sadness and suggests to him that every relationship goes through fights but eventually you have
to patch up. Every fight makes the relationship stronger.

Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein :

Again Ishita and Rajat patch up, the episode also shows that Kaushal Sir is facing resistance from his colony for his classes and they do not allow any commercial work in the colony. Kaushal Sir gets depressed and has a heart while giving a lecture. Although he is safe but Kausahal Sir and his wife decide to close Sunshine’s classes.

Ishita and Rajat together again

Positives :

It shows the bonding between two brothers, family values, and the importance of career is very well portrayed in the entire season. Human emotions which are continued to be explained in terms of Chemistry language fit really well with the setup.

Negatives :

There is less comedy and light-hearted jokes in this season, it is full of emotional scenes.
You might feel a little bored if you were expecting a light-hearted series. A few emotional scenes also feel to be stretched and could have been ignored.

Performances :

Ritvik Sahore as Rajat steals the show with his acting. Tanya Maniktala as Ishita plays her character with utmost innocence. Shivam as Pandu delivers his punches brilliantly as usual and Sunakshi as Anusha has perfectly played her bubbly character with ease. Other supporting casts have also done a fantastic job to make the series more relatable.

Conclusion :

Flames Season 3 is a good sequel but fails to bring the spark like Season 1. It also had mixed reviews from the audience and few even rated it as an unnecessary remake. We would rate it as a good one-time watch. The highlight of this season is again the chemistry between Rajat and Ishita.
